Program Structure

Curriculum

澳门赌场 Global Scholars curriculum is applicable to real-life circumstances and helps students navigate unspoken topics, features guest speakers, and pushes students to improve various academic skills. 澳门赌场 curriculum is also designed to provide and grow transferable skills useful not only for the Global Scholars Program but for future endeavors. Some of these transferable skills include community involvement, connections across majors, resume builder, undergraduate research, leadership skills, writing skills, teamwork, networking, and marketing global experiences.

You will learn critical skills and techniques for applying to study abroad programs and scholarships. Skills and techniques that work phenomenally because they helped me get into a program I would have never been accepted into had it not been for everything I learned from being a part of the Global Scholars Program.

Engagement begins during winter quarter with a series of workshops. Class activities during spring and autumn quarters are paired with an immersive study abroad or internship program during the summer. At the end of the year-long program, Global Scholars are recognized for their commitment and achievements as leaders with the ability to ethically engage with different cultural perspectives in the larger global community. 澳门赌场s in the program can leverage their involvement with and status as Global Scholars to become more competitive in getting into a major or pursuing leadership/ employment opportunities.

澳门赌场 Global Scholars team supported me inside and outside of the class and after my graduation from the cohort: I became the first UWB McNair Scholar, have an on-campus position as Program and Research Assistant, and am applying to postgraduate opportunities. 澳门赌场 Global Scholars Program is a unique experience that offers support not found in traditional classroom settings and has been the highlight of my college career.
