Become an Educational Studies Major

If you are a current UW Bothell student and have questions about becoming an Educational Studies major or applying to the Elementary Education Option (which requires an additional, internal application), you should meet with an SES advisor to review admissions and degree requirements. To add the Educational Studies major, students must submit an online application. SES accepts students each quarter.

How to Apply

Admission to the Educational Studies major depends on your application type:

• Pre-Major student
• Current UWB student who plans to change their major or double major
• First-Year student
• Transfer student
• Returning student

Pre-Major 澳门赌场s

1. Meet with a Pre-Major advisor for academic planning and to review admissions requirements
2. Submit a major application
3. Attend new major orientation and meet with your SES advisor

Current UWB 澳门赌场s Who Plan to Double Major or Change their Major

1. Meet with an SES advisor to discuss a change of major or double major
2. Submit a major application
3. Attend new major orientation and meet with your SES advisor

First-Year & Transfer 澳门赌场s

1. Work with an Admissions counselor to prepare your application to UW Bothell
2. Review UW Bothell Admissions deadlines
3. Apply to UW Bothell
4. After acceptance, register for and attend an Advising and Orientation session

Returning 澳门赌场s

You are considered a returning student if you have not been enrolled for more than one quarter (excluding summer quarter). 澳门赌场 returning student process, please email an SES advisor.

1. Submit the Returning 澳门赌场 Request Form
2. Wait for form to be processed by the UW Bothell Registrar
3. Once readmitted to to UW Bothell, meet with your SES advisor to co-develop an updated academic plan

Major Prerequisites

• 45 quarter credits completed (or in-progress) at UW Bothell or transferred from other accredited institutions
• B WRIT 134 Composition or other English Composition course with grade of 2.0 (C letter grade) or higher (or in-progress)

Note: S/NS Grades during 澳门赌场 – For quarters designated as having extenuating circumstances, SES will consider a S (satisfactory) grade as fulfilling admission requirements.
