If you have a university-owned item that requires surplus please go to the UW Facilities Surplus website for how-to instructions. For additional questions email surplus@uw.edu or call 206-685-1573.

We do not dispose or surplus personal property, this is the responsibility of the individual who has possession of the item.

Sharps Waste Collection (Labs)

To request a pick-up of sharps waste, email us at uwbclean@uw.edu.

Subject Line: Sharps Waste Collection Request. Body of email must include:

  • Size of containers
  • Number of containers
  • Building name
  • Building room
  • Name and phone number of contact person

Sharps waste pick-ups will occur at the earliest opportunity.

Solid Biohazardous Waste Collection (Labs):?To request a pick-up of solid biohazardous waste, please email us at uwbclean@uw.edu.

Subject Line: Biohazard Bag Waste Collection Request. Body of email must include:

  • Size of containers
  • Number of biohazard bags to be collected
  • Building name
  • Building room

Bulk Recyclables Collection

If you are anticipating needing to recycle more materials than your office recycle container can handle at any one time, you can request the delivery of a bulk recycling tote to your area by emailing us at?uwbclean@uw.edu.

Subject Line: Bulk Recycle Tote Request. Body of email must include:

  • Building name
  • Building room
  • Delivery date/time
  • Pick-up date/time
  • Requestor’s name
  • Phone number of contact person

Delivery and pick-up of tote will be based on information provided.

Bulk Computer Boxes and Styrofoam Packaging Recycling

For UWB and Library Spaces: Email us at?uwbclean@uw.edu?to schedule bulk computer boxes and Styrofoam packaging recycling.

For Cascadia College Spaces: Contact Kim Clark?kclark@cascadia.edu?for any questions regarding bulk computer boxes and Styrofoam packaging recycling.

e.Media Collection

澳门赌场 e.Media collection bins that are located throughout the campus buildings are provided so that departments and individuals can dispose of small quantities of the following end-of-use electronic media in a responsible way:

  • Non-confidential electronic media: CDs, DVDs, videotapes, audiotapes, computer disks, and their cases
  • Small personal electronics: cell phones, pagers, PDAs, smart phones, and small electronics
  • Inkjet and bubble jet printer cartridges
  • Batteries: alkaline, carbon, zinc, lithium, nickel-cadmium, nickel, metal hydride, and silver oxide

  • Large amounts of electronic media from a campus building; Email us at uwbclean@uw.edu?to schedule bulk, electronic media pick-ups
  • Confidential electronic media; see the Confidential e.Media page
  • Small electronics that are department-issued; all items that are University property must be sent to Surplus
  • Large printer and copier cartridges; Departments and Individuals are responsible for disposing or recycling their departmental or personal large printer and copier cartridges.
  • Large batteries, large volumes, frequent disposal, or vehicle batteries; Departments and Individuals are responsible for disposing or recycling their departmental or personal, large and vehicle batteries. Email us at uwbclean@uw.edu?to schedule a large volume, small battery pick-up, or to schedule the frequent disposal of small batteries.
