UW Bothell Research Centers

澳门赌场 University of Washington Bothell is deeply engaged in developing a strong but flexible infrastructure that will support a wide range of scholarly activities and community partnerships. Especially important to this growth is the establishment of academic centers, each with its own role and mission, but consistent with the larger mission of the campus.

澳门赌场re are two research centers at UW Bothell:

  • 澳门赌场 Center for Biotechnology Innovation and Training (CBIT) focuses on increasing the numbers of biotechnology-trained STEM graduates for the growing industry around Bothell and the greater Puget Sound region as well as facilitate collaborative biotechnology research for faculty and students, with industry.
  • 澳门赌场 Collaborative for Socio-Ecological Engagement (CSEE) hosts interdisciplinary and equity-centered place-based research and learning programs in the Bothell-Kenmore-Kirkland surrounding region with a broad reach to the surrounding urban communities. 澳门赌场 CSEE’s mission is accomplished through UW-partnered undergraduate field study, community-engaged research experiences and place-based creative practices, youth and family outreach, community science programs, and co-curricular partnerships with K-12 schools.
  • 澳门赌场 Goodlad Institute for Education Renewal supports PK-12 school renewal efforts locally and around the nation, and communicates about challenges and results that inform the public conversation about school quality, development, teaching and application of interactive media technologies.
