Veterans Services provides assistance to students who are entitled to receive educational benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Whether a student is a new applicant for benefits or has used them at previous institutions, UW Bothell Veterans Services is committed to working in partnership to ensure that the process is simple and well-organized.

U.S. Flag Laying

All are welcome to lay a flag on the lawn between UW1 and UW2 to honor family and friends who gave all in service to our country.

Presentation on Military Sexual Trauma

Presentation on Military Sexual Trauma and its impact on current and former military personnel. This event will be in UW1-120 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Presentation on Veteran Success in the Classroom

This presentation will discuss how understanding veteran grit and cultivating a positive sense of belonging is important to supporting college student veteran success. This event will be presented via Zoom from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Zoom link: washington.zoom.us/j/7765025958.

Presentation on Veteran Cultural Engagement

This training might provide a better understanding of how military experiences impact the work and personal lives for those who served in the military. For those who did not serve, it can provide insight into how your response to a veterans’ perspective or reaction can help you resonate and connect with them. This event will be in UW1-280 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:35 p.m.

Veterans Archway Cleanup

Come help our veterans clean up our Veterans Archway at the north end of the sports field. This event will be from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and all are invited to the Beardslee Public House restaurant afterwards.

Pizza will be served at the Veterans Resource Center at 11:30am! Come to UW 011 for a slice!

Presentation on Preventing Veteran Suicide 

This is an opportunity to learn about and practice suicide prevention skills. We’ll go over important points related to the veteran population as well as introduce the LEARN suicide prevention program developed at the University of Washington. 澳门赌场 first part of the training will be informational and the second part will involve role plays followed by a group debrief. Additionally, self-care will be addressed and resources will be provided. This event will be from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in UW1 261.
