Progress in campus master plan

澳门赌场 next community meeting in the process to produce a master plan for the University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College campus is Monday, Jan. 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Husky Hall 1160.

澳门赌场 meeting will update progress on the yearlong process that began in June to guide campus growth over the next 20 years and beyond. Long-term plans call for new academic buildings, parking, student housing and activities.

澳门赌场 University is working with students, faculty, staff, neighbors, the city of Bothell and other interested parties while it continues to serve the public through innovation and student success, said Kelly Snyder, assistant vice chancellor of government and community relations.

Planners are starting to narrow down three scenarios for growth. One develops around the existing core. A second focuses on distinct UW Bothell and Cascadia identities. 澳门赌场 third follows the site’s hillside topography. Guiding principles include building a cohesive campus with durable facilities, integration with the city, enriching experience and enhancing the environment.

Diagrams of the options and information on the process are available online.
