Graduate non-matriculated

A Graduate non-matriculated student is a post-baccalaureate student who wishes access to a limited number of graduate courses, but who has not been admitted by the Graduate School to a degree program.

Graduate non-matriculated (GNM) enrollment is beneficial if you are interested in professional development through specific classes or would like to experience the curriculum before formally applying to the program.

Upon petition, a maximum of 12 credits of coursework may be applied to the MS in Community Health and Social Justice requirements, provided students meet the graduation requirements for the year they matriculate. For complete details, policy overview, and student visa restrictions, review the Graduate School Policy 3.3.

With permission of the course instructor, GNM students are permitted to enroll in the following MS in Community Health and Social Justice program coursework: BHS 501, BHS 502, and any other BHS course for which they have the prerequisite and any 500 level BHLTH elective as space permits.

Admission requirements and material

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or its equivalent from outside the U.S.
  • At least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4-point scale (or equivalent measures of performance if a graduate of an institution with no grading system) for those credits earned at the institution awarding the bachelor’s degree OR at least a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4 point scale) for the last 90 graded quarter credits or 60 graded semester credits. Applicants not meeting the GPA requirement may still apply and will be reviewed on a case-by-case in accordance with the Graduate School Alternate Standards Policy 3.1.2.
  • English language proficiency. Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency (see Graduate School English Proficiency Policy 3.2).
  • A graduate School online application and unofficial transcript(s) from prior educational institution(s). Note: 澳门赌场re is no statement of purpose or recommendations required.
