Office of the Title IX Coordinator?

Title IX and other federal and state laws prohibit all forms of sex- and gender-based discrimination. Sex- and gender-based discrimination includes sexual harassment, relationship violence, stalking, sexual exploitation, and sexual assault. Title IX also prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, and pregnancy and related conditions.

We do our work through a system of initiatives, programs, and services that focus on achieving equity and parity and both preventing and responding to sex- and gender-based discrimination, harassment, and violence.

Title IX Reporting

UW faculty, staff, and students who are seeking support and options for themselves or others, or want to make the University aware of a Title IX-related concern, can use the online Title IX reporting form. When submitting a report, most individuals can choose to remain anonymous and/or not share others’ names. 

Employee Reporting Expectations 

Every UW employee can support someone who has experienced sex- or gender-based violence, harassment, or discrimination by reaching out to the Title IX Office for consultation. Depending on your employee role, you have different Title IX reporting obligations

Confidential Support

If you have experienced sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, or sexual harassment, and are seeking confidential support, consider contacting a university confidential advocate before submitting an online Title IX report.
