Obituary: Jake Tiefel, machining instructor

Jake Edward Tiefel, a University of Washington Bothell lecturer who ran the machining class in the mechanical engineering program, died suddenly April 26. Tiefel is remembered in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics for giving students fundamental knowledge and skills.

New veterans center coming to UW Bothell

University of Washington Bothell Chancellor Wolf Yeigh announced a new veterans resource center will be open in fall 2018 in Founders Hall, UW1-011. 澳门赌场re are about 200 veterans on campus and about 70 others who are spouses or children of veterans, eligible for benefits.

UW Bothell team wins Distinguished Staff Award

Math major scores high in puzzle contest

University of Washington Bothell mathematics major John Michael Bush finished near the top in the annual Kryptos Cryptanalysis Challenge that attracted 143 students from across the country to the contest at Central Washington University.
