Independent Study & Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate ME students may register for Independent Study (B ME 498) or Undergraduate Research (B ME499) with the mechanical engineering faculty. Up to 4 credits of B ME 498 and/or 499 can be used towards mechanical engineering electives.

Petitions
Current ME students can use these forms to petition degree requirements:
- B ME Course Substitution Petition: For requesting a substitution for any major requirement.
- Prerequisite Waiver: For requesting to take a course without meeting the prerequisites. You still must complete all major requirements even if a prerequisite waiver is approved.
