Friday, May 10: Opening Showcase Reception and Film Screening, 5:00-8pm

  • 澳门赌场 reception will start in the Collaboratory (DISC-152) for opening remarks by Chancellor Kristin Esterberg, Alka Kurian, and Jesi Egan.
    • Refreshments will be provided, including dips & spreads, lemonade, and more.
  • 澳门赌场 film screening will begin in the Auditorium (DISC-061) at 6:30pm, hosted by Isabeau Rosen. Popcorn will be provided.
    • Anthony Safai, Existence In Silence is “vlogumentary” style production that takes place all over the United States and is soon to be abroad. It’s a series that takes on America’s most historically tragic, mysterious, conspiratorial, and spiritual locations in the country. It is all produced, directed, and recorded by the student, Anthony. As of current, it is still a consistent production that is ongoing without an end in sight. A fourth season is being produced and is titled Terra Pecatum.
    • Tiffany Miller, 澳门赌场 Signs of Our Time is a short video and sculpture. 澳门赌场 piece symbolically places a laptop inside a news rack, portraying the overwhelming digital content accessible today. It reflects on the evolving landscape of our daily lives, capturing the coexistence of physical and electronic forms before objects like news racks become obsolete.
    • Hannah Kemp, Alec Mullen-Deland, Ken Onuma, Ezra Bantum, STRAY – music video, narrative short. A young man questions his relationship with his partner and begins an emotional quest to find something to fill the void.
    • Ezra Bantum, Echo Chamber: A short film. Do we consume social media content, or does it consume us? A class video exercise to practice a narrative sequence of action with attention to production work in camera, lighting, audio, and post-production editing.
